In every pregnancy (irrespective of you being on any medications) there is almost 3% risk of baby having malformation. As for fluvoxamine (fluvator) and flunil (fluoxetine, not much research is carried out on its effects on baby during pregnancy so it’s difficult to say if it will harm. However fluoxetine is considered one of the safer drugs. If possible contact your doctor and see if these medications can be stopped or atleast dose reduced to minimum during the course of your pregnancy. There...more

It's very difficult to say how long you need to take the medicines. Sometimes some people have to for best management. So many people manage their physical health condition by talking regular medicines. The goal is to lead a normal life, with or without medicines. I would also suggest you to take help from a cognitive therapist. The therapy will help you to manage your anxiety and depression and you may need small dosage of medicines or you may not even need medication after that.

Some psychiatric may cause amenorrhea (absence of periods). You should start the medicine as she was doing well (assuming) with it. For your concern regarding her menstruation, kindly consult a gynecologist - and if everything seems normal, continue the medications.

Dear Lybrate-user,
Your tiredness is not due to medication but could be caused by other factors such as anxiety, depression, lifestyle and eating habits, work-related demands, etc. It might be a good idea that you change your lifestyle - exercise, meditate, practice yoga, eat healthy, rest well and have positive approach to everything in life.
