Maintain good hygiene and give sufficient water and fluids ( good hydration is important ). Give freshly prepared simple and easy to digest food. It may take some time for the compete recovery to happen. Talk to the doctor if your child has fever or any signs of dehydration. Read about diarrhoea in children and the precautions to be taken. You can also start Homeopathy which is safe and gentle.

Term baby? Birth weight? Most probably gastroesophageal reflux disease. If weight gain is adequate nothing to worry. If weight gain is not adequate for age then evaluate for a gastroesophageal disease first try medical management if not controlled surgical management. But most of the time gastroesophageal reflex it is normal and continues up to 6 months up to semisolid food introduce.

Mr. lybrate-user,
please be aware that the symptoms you are describing need to be verified by doctor to assess if it is acute gastroenteritis or bowel obstruction. If the medications do not help in a day or symptoms worsen, then please visit a doctor. If you have got any tests done you can share the reports with me and I can have a look.

Hello Lybrate user. Your child is normal, it is very common in this age group. You can add yamoo drop (lactase enzyme) 5 drops before giving milk for 10 days, this will help your child and do burping after each feed.
