If the issue that you are referring to is the intake of tea then I would like to inform you that Tea without sugar is not on the list of restricted items for intake in diabetic patients. Also, your sugars are uncontrolled so you need to seek advice for this!

As a nutritiion expert, I suggest some good nutritional food and supplements. Which helps to control and cure the diabetes. 1. Ask her to regularly walk during morning hours, if she can. 2. Fasting 168 mg (very high) & PP 238 mg both are suggestive of presence of uncontrolled diabetes. In such a situation drug treatment is essential plus diet control and regular exercise to control weight and burn extra glucose also is needed. Once diabetes is confirmed, then it is rather impossible to control it with only exercise and dist. That is possible in pre-diabetic state. Well it seems you mothers diabetes is not under control. She is having poor glycemic control. The symptoms that she is experiencing is due to diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Which is a known complication of diabetes. Would be better you you consult need more details. Like duration of diabetes, current medications, latest hba1c and complication status.
