The drugs mentioned Glimepiride and Voglibose are different in their action.
Metformin is supposed to reduce or delay glucose absorption and hence slows down blood glucose rise after taking food. Plus it also reduces insulin resistance hence helps blood glucose control. There are other beneficial effects like helps slight weight reduction.

you can safely cut vogo 0.3 alone, and repeat a sugar fasting after 2 weeks. If fasting sugar is less than 110, continue stopping vogo, if it is more than 110, then restart vogo at low dose 0.2 mg for post dinner.

Following details are needed : Fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, weight, height, diet pattern, extent of daily exercise, lipid profile, BP readings, serum creatinine and urea. Such high hba1c level is not at all satisfactory. Pls mention your fbs ppbs, s creatinine level, s lipid profile level. Treatment is not at all satisfactory. You can consult online with all reports. Definitely it can be taken down.

I have seen the details mentioned. Developing hypoglycemia in a patient with conventional insulin is fairly common seen problem. Plus if patient is also on glimiperide in addition to insulin, then there are greater chances. Since she was on 40 you + 28 u) two doses of insulin with 8 mg of glimiperide, the possibility was more.

Yes metformin and voglibose be taken at a same time. Both are the diabetic medications,and Voglibose prevents absorption of sugar from foods whereas the metformin controls insulin effects
