Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details, the glucose levels are very high, suggesting current treatment is not enough, upgrading is required. Plus with a BMI of 34.16 kgs you are carrying an excess of 31 kgs, which is the main hindrance in glucose control. Ideally in well controlled person fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c ℅ < 6.8. Therefore, please consult your physician or diabetoligist and get upgraded treatment. If you want me to guide please come with...more

I believe you have diabetes mellitus and it is of the type two, more commonly known as t2dm and therefore your doctor has you on volix m 0.2. As I psychiatrist I believe you should not be drinking alcohol at all. However, if you are obligated to do so for any reason, there is no need to skip your tablet for diabetes if you are planning on having a meal as well before during or after consumption of alcohol. Since I do not know more about the reason for your question this is all I can say for now,...more

Hello Mam. Understood your query. I would like to ask you what are the timings of your daily breakfast and lunch. If the gap is too long, try having a small brunch between 10: 30 - 11 am. You will not get tremors. Is it associated with anxiety, sweating also? Please try the above remedy and see the difference. Thank you. Wishing you good health.

Mr Shivashankar, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details, overall glucose levels & HbA1c% are fine. However, ideally in well controlled diabetic person fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg. SInce your age is 72 years the control is quite good. There is no need to worry. Please continue the same lifestyle and treatment. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. You have mentioned FBG & PP glucose levels. Fasting is quite high. PP is comparatively better. However, there are no other important details like weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, serum creatinine, urea, lipid profile & BP readings. Unless all the details are given there is no way to give any suggestions. So if you want proper advice, please come back with all the details in a private conversation, where I c...more
