I have got a bacterial infection in eye. Doc prescribed moxifloxacin eye drop I used it 3 times daily for three week and stopped within two days it re appeared. So now I'm using moxifloxacin eye ailment for how long can I continue this.

infection usually subsides in 3 weeks... if not subsided then perhaps infection has recurred or not gone,, you need to again visit eye surgeon

It indicates conjunctivitis or infection of eyelid. Try out nebracin eye ointment twice and tobramycin eye drops 4 times for a week and get back.

Health Query

Red, dry, scaly patch on the outside corner of the eye since 2 months. Before that, discharge and red eye. Discharge was more in the morning. Took tobramycin (did not help) and then fluorometholone acetate which reduced discharge.?

Yes kitmox eye drops can be used, one drop four times daily. However, if you do not see any improvement in one or two days, better to go for a proper consultation with an ophthalmologist.

She is using the drops from past 2 days, even though her pain and swelling near the eye have not reduced and she has continuous watery discharge from her eye. And her pain increases intensity increases.

Conjunctivitis bacterial or viral may take five to seven days to settle despise correct treatmnet. Please wait for three moredays for effect to come. If your symptoms worsen, you can visit your doctor before the next scheduled visit.
