Asked for male, 38 years old from Imphal

My wife past away on 4 of this month from CA Stomach. She got totally 7 cycles of chemo (first 4 cycles trastuzumab) vivitra with capiibine medicine and at last 3 cycle canmeb trastuzumab and capecitabine. At first 4 cycles she had good control of cancer but at last 3 cycles cancer had sprouted more. But why? What docs given wrong medicines? She was under treatment at hospital in mumbai. And is H Pylori virus transmitted? Bcos we had oral and physical sex at some times. My abdomen also some time feel etches and some time feel pain and bloating. Please suggest me.

My mom is suffering cancer in spinal cord and the doctors are giving canmab traszumab 440 mg chemo therapy. We already have given 13 chemo as canmab. Now she have ear infection and we took 3 days anti biotic medicine and one drop after that she is getting severe headache. Is this headache related to can mab chemotherapy or for this ear infection?

Hi, From you are description it sounds more like cancer from breast which has spread to spine. For headache, she need to see ent surgeon and then maybe ct of the brain.

My mother is 60 age she has detected breast cancer before 2 years that time we done surgery and remove complete left breast also only chemotherapy done as per doctor no radiation is given now after 2 year again found infection near neck now doctor suggested only chemotherapy and radiotherapy, no need to surgery .he gives chemo of vivitra 440 mg injection please suggest we go with this or need to change treatment.

Hello, First we need to know that infection you are calling is cancer recurrence or not by taking biopsy. If it's cancer recurrence need to know has it spread elsewhere, if not then if feasible surgical excision followed by radiotherapy can be given. You can consult in our hospital in nagpur.

Because its a hormone positive case start hormone therapy Fulvestrant or there is a combination of Exemustine and Evrolimus. Third line there is a new drug called Palbase which is having good
Results with less side effects for ER positive tumors. Better to avoid pure chemotherapy as they are having much side effects.

My mother is a diagnosed case of carcinoma right breast. Her surgery has been done on 28.05.2017 at Delhi where her infected breast has been removed completely. And doctor has said after seeing biopsy report that only chemotherapy will be done radiation not required. And we started her chemotherapy at kolkata from different doctor as Kolkata is near to my hometown And her 6th and last chemo therapy is over on 11.10.2017. Biopsy report says that my mother breast cancer cell her 2/neu is 3+ and comment Her 2 gene amplification issue at18-20% of invasive breast cancer as per biopsy report. Staging is-mpT2N0Mx. The whole body scan pet has been done where its found that cancer has not spread to any other part of body. The consulting chemotherapy doctor also initially said that only chemotherapy will be done no radiation required but now when 6th last chemotherapy is over he is saying that radiation will also be done. Which will continue for 3 week 5 days each week. Please help sir/mam why he is suggesting it now? Is that for business purpose only? Whats is side effect of radiation Plss pls guide sir/mam. Thanks in advance.

According to above report treatment is surgery, chemo and Radiation. As radiation will also reduce chances of local recurrence. If patient is week or very old nonaffording that time you can avoid radiation. But it is always better to take radiation also in her-2 positive patients as chances of recurrence are high. As it was right side cancer radiation won't harm her much. One more thing if she is her 2 positive she should receive targeted therapy or trastuzumab also.

Her-2 positivity of 3+ will require a different treatment in all breast cancers Early stage or LABC or Metastatic breast cancer which is TARGATED THERAPY with trastuzumab or herceptin or hertraz.
