You may Start on tab Fluoxetene 20mg daily morning and Sodium valproate 500mg at night for 10 days and l will review or call me.

Hello,
the child seems to be getting two many anti epileptics (generally more than two are not required- he is getting levera, epsolin, valproate. The problem, diagnosis has not been mentioned not is any history so its difficult for me.

Epilepsy is a chronic disease, and it needs medicines for a long time. This would keep seizures under control. Shivering can be a side effect of medication too such as sodium valproate.

You don't need to be so helpless. Sodium valproate is a good medication for epilepsy control, though it takes some tome to start action. The dose of sodium valproate may need supervised changes and may need add on medications at times for control of seizures. Consult a neurophysician for the same. Also a brain imaging like MRI scan might be useful to rule out possible causes of uncontrolled seizures at his age.
