Dear Ms. lybrate-user,
generally steroids are not recommended in children but can be used if needed based on the symptoms. However generally they are reserved for patient with severe or long standing disease rather than recent onset symptoms. Cough syrups are helpful to a certain extent in controlling cough. Ventidox M patients should avoid nebicip treatment for hypertension. Please discuss with your Dr. They should generally avoid ecospirin also. It can worsen breathlessness just like nebicip can
ecospirin AV is required after blockages, not for hypertension.
