You need to combine medication along with therapy. Relying only on the medication will not suffice. There is abnormal fear and it could do with some contribution from your upbringing. Perhaps you experienced strict parenting; or you were intimidated by dire consequences for failure; perhaps you were brought up believing that you were not as good as others; perhaps you were forced to show undue regard for elders and felt inferior around them, etc. You must immediately seek help from a counselor. ...more

Accept that it is going to be difficult and you will not come out of it in an overnight - depression & anxiety are very poorly researched areas in the field of medicine. There is no definitive cure to this illness. Apart from that, depression is under-estimated. You will usually find people telling you to "not be depressed" or "ease down a bit" or "stay happy" when in reality it is very difficult, or rather, impossible to "not be depressed" or "to ease down" or "be happy" there is a very little ...more

Hi,
ativan is a potent anti-anxiety medication, but it is highly addictive and difficult to quit especially after prolonged use. Self-medication is always risky and can be hazardous. So, it is in your best interest if you consult a nearby psychiatrist and discuss for safer alternatives of ativan and if ativan needs to be taken, it should be taken under a psychiatrist's supervision.

1.Use Deep Breathing

Deep breathing is another effective way to relieve stress and anxiety. It helps you with physical symptoms such as shallow breathing and rapid heart rate, and it also helps with controlling your thoughts. When you practice deep breathing, you're forced to take your thoughts off of whatever is causing you anxiety and to focus on the breathing technique that you are using.

Dear sir
I feel that your problem is most likely due to degenerative related issue than because of medication. However muscle relaxant may some time cause this. If you really having it due to medication, than ask your doctor to change the medication and see if it is helpful. Take care and get well soon.

Dear Harish,
i don't understand your question clearly. But i can understand your doctor's struggle to help you with combination of antidepressants. Your recent symptoms are not due to mirtazapine. Either they are due to withdrawal of quetiapine or your own disorder recurring at this time again. However please discuss clearly with your doctor your concerns.
