sir,

I sincerely request you NOT TO MIX AND MATCH two different forms of therapy.
if anything goes wrong, none of the doctor will treat you.
shift to a therapy you trust and stop other all together.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
Take venlafaxine once or twice a day as recommended by your doctor. It's best to take venlafaxine with food so it doesn't make you feel sick.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Along with medicines, talk therapy is required.
Only medicines will not solve depression. We need to identify the root cause of depression and solve it.
I recommend doing exercises and yoga daily.
Find good friends to share your feelings
keep your self engaged in studies/work/ any hobbies
good luck.

Accept that it is going to be difficult and you will not come out of it in an overnight - depression & anxiety are very poorly researched areas in the field of medicine. There is no definitive cure to this illness. Apart from that, depression is under-estimated. You will usually find people telling you to "not be depressed" or "ease down a bit" or "stay happy" when in reality it is very difficult, or rather, impossible to "not be depressed" or "to ease down" or "be happy" there is a very little ...more

Vasograin and veniz are two different medications. U should not use it as an alternative. U can request the pharmacy to get stock of your requirements. If your prescription is outdated then I suggest you take up an online consultation here. So that you get correct advise on medications and prescription too.

What you are experiencing is discontinuation syndrome because venla xr is a short acting antidepressant. Your problem can be helped with substituting with another medication which is not know to cause this kind of problem. Also if it is anxiety you may benefit from just counselling and not require medicines.

Dear lybrate-user, I am assuming you have started these medicines as advised by a psychiatrist, who might have prescribed them for a depressive/anxiety disorder. In that case, when you initiate antidepressants of this class, you might suffer minor symptoms like headaches or nausea. But after 1-2 weeks these symptoms usually don't cause trouble. That is also the time when the improvement in your mood and ability to work will begin to be seen. So, it is important to communicate any discomfort free...more

Hello Chamith,

Veniz XR is an antidepressant and can be taken for long. Just be vigilant about its harmful effects. If you aren't a heart patient, you can safely take it. It has certain side effects on liver too like your liver functions may get deranged and jaundice might occur.
But this effect is uncommon.
