Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.
Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello, First we shd be sure of diagnosis if it is hemiplegic migraine and not anything else. I think other causes must have been ruled out in your case like TIA Siezures..if you have completely reversible symptoms of paralysis which gets normal within one hour and usually followed by migraine like headache with normal MRI EEG etc it is hemiplegic migraine.

Your uncle if diagnosed as Bipolar affective disorder need to take mood stabilizer for long term for proper control.There are many covert medication available like syrup valproate,syrup risperidone(sizodone) for non cooperative patients but best way is to contact nearby psychiatrist and if patient is reluctant plan for a home visit.That will be the best for patient.

Hlo! bipolar disorder is three type as phase wise manic episode / depressive & euthymic condition (normal. Mood stabilizer like sodium valproate are to be given along antidepressant in depressive phase & only mood stabilizer to be given in manic phase with antipsychotics! so reconsult your psychiatrist! you can consult me online also.

I can understand the problem you are facing from such a long time. 22 year of long illness without recovery even when you are compliant with medication. What I suggest is to rule out other possibility causing depression such as thyroid or having bipolar mood disorder. Sometimes we miss out hypomania episode as depression covers it. A mood chart will benefit you in that. Adding a mood stabilizer like lithium will cover your bipolar illness and augment your antidepressant treatment as we...more
