Hi I am 31 weeks pregnant and my sgot and sgpt are 242 and 267 and bile acid is 182my Dr. asked me to take udiliv 300 twice a day and to keep an eye on fetal movements query - is this medicine safe .why they asked to keep eye on fetal movement is there any risk to baby.

Fatty liver is due to fat deposition in liver cells. Liver enzyme are also raised which is indicative of liver derangement. You should reduce your weight and restrict fatty diet. Exercise daily atlas 30 mt will show you the results. Only medicine will not going to help.

Udiliv is the right medicine for your problem. Higher bile acid level is a common cause of itching in pregnancy. Do not worry about this but for symptomatic relief you can use Zincal lotion or Calamine lotion locally.

You can take udiliv twice daily, monitor your liver function tests and get an obstetric usg done. Also monitor the fetal kick count.

Age-23. High level of SGOT and SGPT .My SGOT is 81 and SGPT is 94. I used to drink a lot but from 2 months ,I have not taken alcohol. I am currently taking Librium, pentazole in morning and hycibex. I earlier took ursocol 600 sr and later proper D and volapride as I had too much acid and gas when I eat anything and my blood pressure suddenly increase too much with anxiety and body become hot. I don't know how will it heal even after so much medicine.

Hi Madhu
The itching is effect of irritation of nerves in the skin, due to the bile acids. That will take some time to resolve. Apply calamine lotion. Cold compress might help. If too unbearable, you can take tablets, but do check with you obstetrician.
