I was prescribed alfusin, tadalafil 5 mg for life time and macpee 25 for three months as my prostate measures 38 gm and pvr on 1st void 240 cc and 2nd void 150 cc. I am a patient of ed and bph for the last 3-4 years. After 2 weeks I am experiencing blurred vision and very uncomfortable. Is it side effect of any of these medicines. Kindly help me as my consultant doctor is about 1500 km. Away from my residence.

I am 50 year old male. I had frequent urination during july 2017, when after heavy work and thereafter had alcohol that evening. From next day onwards I had irritation while urinating and also frequent urination. All test were carried out and my serum creatinine stood at 1.15 dl, retention urine at 30 ml. Rest all were normal. The doctors advised to take macpee for 5 days and the symptoms had gone. As and when I work out hard this returns. Now, during january 2020 I had uti and took antibiotic fr the same. The fever resided within four days but the frequent urge to urinate started and it continues. Since then on and off I am alright but during every night I have to visit 3 times to wash room and causally I checked serum creatinine and found to be 1.40.the test was done after breakfast and after workout [ exercise]. Now its entire lock down and visiting hospital has become impossible, since the are is marked as "hot stop for corona" please advice can I take macpee tabulates to relive the symptoms and reduction of serum creatinine.

Yes you can take tab macpee for five days. Take lime juice with little salt five times per day. This will help you to get some relief. However meet your doctor at earliest after lock down is over.

Post c-section delivery catheter has been removed on 3rd day, and on 7th day I was unable to pass urine, also pain while peeing and feeling bladder is full but couldn't empty the bladder when I use washroom. My gynea suggested sonography it showed bladder neck obstruction hence she put catheter for 17 days. Now, I can pee naturally but not getting sensation for urination. Dr. Ask me to take 'urotone 25 mg' thrice a day. Should I take urotone when breastfeeding & what should I do to get natural sensation of urination. Should I consult any urologist? Is keeping catheter for 17 days was a correct treatment? Please help.

Urotone can be taken. Take a lot of fluids orally to keep the bladder flushed. Taking a second opinion from a urologist is advisable.

I had been operated for spina bifida at the age of 3. I am 45 yrs old now. Besides limping from left leg, I also had neurogenic bladder (post void residual of around 150 ml). I am taking medicines for the same i. E, flotral and urotone/ urivoid regularly. My query is regarding a) the medicines I am consuming can be taken on long term basis? b) doctor had advised me to get static cystogram of bladder done. Is the test safe considering neurogenic bladder?

My first reaction was that Urimax 4 mg tabs is approved only for men with enlarged prostate glands and not for women. But my doctor prescribed Urimax for me along with Urotone for neurogenic bladder after an operation. Also to do CIC. I have been taking these meds since last 3 weeks. How safe is it to take these medicine for Long term? As per my doctor it will take 4-6 weeks to heal completely.

Dear dr, Can the carbon laser treatment be useful for chronic frequent urination day and night, post void dripping, weak stream symptoms? I had lower back operations before (disc replacement). I had cystoscopy urodynamics and have tried all medications to no benefit. Urotone improves the stream but the frequency and urgency remained unresolved. I am 60 years old from bahrain. I appreciate your response.

My mother is suffering from uti and urinary incontinence pvr is 440 cc. She is under catheterization for last 8 weeks. One year ago pvr was 489 cc and catheter was given for 2 weeks and cured. She takes urotone 25 - tds and solution 8 - od. Her creatinine is 2.38. She is diabetic for last 20 years but at present controlled. Is her problem be cured? Any further medicine can you give doctor?

Your mother's incontinence is related to diabetes also and its complete cure is impossible. She can be ambulant with the catheter installed

He is suffering from hypotonic bladder and the prostate is 37 from past 1 year he is taking selodol d4 /d8 and urotone for clear passage of urine regularly otherwise urine discharge stops. Also in the sonography report there is retention of130 ml. Doctors are also not confident about operating the prostate and not sure that after operation urine discharge will be proper sir please help.

Hypotonia or lazy bladder is condition when brain does not get information to empty the bladder due to many condition prostatic and other infection can cause it. please consult an experienced urologist and learn some exercise Which help in improving hypotonia it may improve till that time continue with the treatment under guidence of urologist.

I have been suffering from prostetomegaly since 8 years and at my first investigation I got urine retention. I had been using urimax. 0.4 but now again it occurs. And doctor told me after investigation and ultrasound that I got benign prostate hyperplasia. He prescribed me catheterization, macpee and solution d for one month. Then he removed my catheter and prescribed urimax d. But again I got urine retention. Now in this lock down situation I am under catheterization with urimax d. 2 trials of catheter removal failed. Now what to do at present. Before one month my prostate size was 47 ml and the psa level was 5.27.
