Tamsulosin is safe to be taken for long term. Get a repeat uroflowmetry done to see the benefit of tamsulosin. If no major improvements then we may need to escalate therapy and add newer therapies. And get a urine examination done again along with post voidal residue. Review once done. Will guide you further.

Please do visit a surgeon. It can be due to BPH which is extremely common in this age group. Alpha blockers are generally used. Eg tamsulosin Regards.

It is good if you have used combination of deflazacort and tamsulosin. This is best for expulsion of stone but if still it has not come out and is giving you problem then better'to get it removed endoscopically by a urologist.

Every medicine for bph will have some side effects. Because you are sexually active for you alfoo is best. Otherwise other common drug is dutas t.it has tamsulosin which causes retrograde ejaculation. If you have completed your family you can try this.

Ureteric stone unlikely to cause this. An alpha adrenergic blocker like tamsulosin given for medical expulsion therapy in ureteric calculus can result retrograde ejaculation.
