Chest pain can arise from many sources.
1. Muscles/bones/cartilages
2. Nerves supplying chest
3. Lungs and its cocering
4. Heart and its covering
5. Acidity
6. Liver and gall bladder
7. Food pipe and windpipe
disrases in all these can lead to chest pain. So chest pain does not always mean heart attack. A doctor can identify the source depending upon nature of pain, other risk factors, analyzing reports and by clinical examination.
