Depression due to study. 10th class students. Last study at FIIT Jee, Delhi Now at Home, north east Bihar. From last 4-5 days there was completely no sleep. Haloperidol Injection I.P. 1 ml + Promethazine Hydrochloride Injection IP 2 ml = 2 times have been taken yet lorazepam = 1 time have been taken 20 hrs before (16-17 hrs he has slept continuously)

Hi, my brother has been diagnosed with schizophrenia. The psychiatrists has been adjusting his medication dosages since the beginning. We are currently using clozapine 75 mg and haloperidol 5 mg along with that now doctor has asked us to use bexol 2 mg as well. Also along the years he has gained weight, lost interest in his academics, has been prescribed to cholesterol and bp tablets. With all these medications he still is dizzy, aggressive,doubting everybody, irritated most of the time. Will his condition improve ever? Its been more than 2-3 years now with this medication.

My wife was having ocd and later ocd was cured and she was in major depression ,she was on haloperidol and sertraline for so many years and initially on clonil tablets .she was on these psychotic drugs for over 23 years, recently she was diagnosed with cervical dystonia and feel it is a drug induced dystonia. She was administered with botox injections, I want to withdraw the drugs, which is the safest drug and without medicines she will not get sleep.

It is nice of you to take an interest in the wife's treatment. Probably you have not visited your psychiatrist for many years. Most of the older tablets like serenace is replaced by second-generation newer drugs. The subsequent dystonia could have been avoided. My mom aged 64 was diagnosed with dementia 2 years ago after taking CT scan and some blood tests, her condition declined rapidly after starting anti psychotic drugs 3 months ago, the last drug she was taking (Halipridol for again) then she developed swallowing problem ending with feeding tube, her doctor recommended to stop Halipridol, her swallowing improved and now she is able to swallow all kind of food but unfortunately 3 days after stopping haloperidol she started jerky uncontrollable movements like moving her arms up and down, neck side to side and body side to side, the doctor prescribed Carbidopa and levodopa treatment but didn't work.

As per your complaints, she has developed td, it's needs to assessed once to confirm diagnosis, usually the problems may not be controlled if it's td. Usually it's difficult to treat td. But it's not life threatening condition. It manageable.

This is with reference to my previous question. (my thoughts are sometimes disorganized. Sometimes I also fail to express and articulate myself properly. I feel depersonalization and derealization too. I have faced abuse and traumas as a child. Two years ago a doctor diagnosed me as having mild schizophrenia and prescribed me haloperidol 2.5 mg/day. But this medicine doesn't seem to help me except giving a few hours sleep during the night. My question is: could this diagnosis be wrong? Could it be a case of ptsd or some other form of anxiety disorder) I was told by Dr. Sanjay jain that it can't be schizophrenia. Can you please tell me what treatment should I follow? My mind gets exhausted and fatigued after any work I do. Due to this very reason, I have not been able to be stable in my career.

My sister is also suffering from schizophrenia and taking daily medicine of risperidone tab 2 mg 1-0-1haloperidol tab 5 mg 0-0-1phenergan tab 25 mg 0-0-1pacitane tab 2 mg 1-0-0 she is quiet reluctant on surgery. So, I want to know if this medical condition, chronic calculus cholecystitis or/and gall stones could be completely cured with any ayurvedic treatment.

1. A person diagnosed with ocd, psychosis and multiple personality disorder was secretly given fludac 40 (mg) and risperidone (0.5 mg) as prescribed by the doctor. Now this doctor is stating that his case is that of psychosis and asked us to continue these medicine for 2 more weeks, after which he should be admitted. Concern is if he is admitted for rehabilitation by force, consequences can be very negative (he can turn hostile) 2. Another doctor was consulted. He suggested against admitting. However, he suggested to immediately stop the above medicines and to start with haloperidol. However, concern is won't abrupt withdrawal of fludac and risperidone cause negative repercussions and withdrawal symptoms? please suggest what should be done?

from the above details its clear that your patient was on fludac and risperidone. Now that you want to stop these medications and want to start haloperidol but are concerned about any harmful withdrawal effects of previous medication.
