Dear Mr. lybrate-user,
treatment of asthma requires removal of exposure, diagnosis with cbc, ige, chest xray and pft following which inhalers with ics-laba combination are prescribed.
Oncet 3d contains acebrophylline and unicontin has theophylline
both work in same way and not regularly used in asthma
please get the above tests and consult a chest physician for inhaler use

COPD is associated with gas in many.
Treat with low acidic diet and antacid and protonpump inhibitor Drugs under doctors prescriptions and monitoring.
Patients using theophylline tablet or syrup and smoking liquor etc have increase acidity
It’s good practice to eat a light meal 2 hrs before sleep to prevent acid reflux
Constipation is a frequent problem in senior age and COPD. Eat fibre more and adequate water to reduce constipationand it’s long term effects.

It could be due to viral infection and chronic chest infection
 
 take hot saline gargles atleast 5 - 6 times a day, it will help to clear the throat . 
steam inhalation also helps to clear respiratory passages. 
sprinkling eucalyptus oil on the clothes and pillows while sleeping will help. 
elevating the upper body and head by propping up with 2 - 3 pillows at night will help to relieve post nasal drip which worsens dry cough.
