hi if I'm your treating doctor i would straight away diagnose your condition as lower respiratory tract infection. so kindly follow the advice for five days use tab.levofloxacin 500 mg twice a day , tab tusq twice a day, tab.razo - d twice a day before food. use syrup ascoril 5ml thrice or four times per day. just let me know after five days.

1. Do Warm saline gurgling and steam inhalation with karvol plus inhalant capsule 2-3 times daily.
2.put otrivin nasal drop one drop thrice daily.
3.Take Viscodyne D syrup 2 tsf 2-3 times daily
4. If no relief, you have to take antibiotic.

Home remedy for Dry Cough:
5 basil leaves, 4 black pepper, 4 munakka, 5 gms liquorice (mulethi), 3 gms banafsha - boil these in 200 ml of water till it becomes 100 ml. Filter it. Add 2-3 patasha in it and drink lukewarm for 3-4 nights...sleep well covered. Dry cough will be relieved.

There is no best medicine for cough and cold. You have to change your lifestyle. Eat healthy food. Include fruits in your diet especially citrus fruits like lemon, orange and sweet lemon. Amla with high quantity of vitamin c is beneficial. Avoid cold foods like ice cream. This now being a winter season, wear sweater or jacket outdoors and at night.
