I am losing my hair for quite a long time so one day I got to know about Dr. Reddy's mintop (2/5/10)%, my friend was using it. He got very good results as he said I actually did not saw him before hair gain so can not realt see the difference. I also started using it for last 4-5 months 2% pack, but I started feeling itching on top of my ear which is a known side effect of it so that was okay but also my skin around eyes started getting dry and itchy at the start I was not getting the reason behind it. Now for last one week because of my busy schedule I was not able to apply lotion on my head and I noticed there is no itching or dry skin around my eye. Should I continue using it (this time 10%)or Do I need to stop using it? If I should stop using it what would be the alternative solutions? Thanks in advance.

Hello lybrate-user, you are right. Minoxidil will defenitely help as it works with your hair follicles, strengthens them and promotes hair growth from within. However most common side affect with it is dryness of scalp, dandruff and irritation/itching and these are due to propylene glycol present in minox which helps in penetration rather than minox itself. Same findings can occur on the face as well. Make sure the product does not leak onto your face while applying and even if it does make sure...more

Hi lybrate-user,
You seem to be on right treatment. Please be consistent with the treatment. This treatment generally works.
You can also consider Mesotherapy for enhancement of beard growth. Although everyone has a pattern of growth of facial hair, there are medications and techniques like microneedling which can help in growth of facial hair and can help grow moustaches/ beard faster and fuller.
It’s important for you to know that oils do not significantly benefit hair growth. Oi...more

Hi debora, after starting mintop it takes almost 3-6 months for the new hairs to grow. You will definately see growth of hair. Also include proteins in your diet so as to improve the nutritional component too. Regards,

Hi.
Let me tell you about hairfall. In layman's language, hairfall can be divided into 2 types - temporary hairfall and permanent (which is called as 'Hairloss' rather). In temporary hairfall, hair grows back again from the same hair root, but in case of permanent hairloss, may be because of formation of DHT (Di- Hydro -Testosterone) around hair root it gets choked up, subsequently affects the blood supply to the hair and thus hair root is lost forever. (There are different pattern and type...more

Hi.

It's normal to lose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causativ...more
