Dear , This a common aftermath of surgery for prolapsed thrombosed piles. Some discharge is routine and so is pain. That will go away in due course of time. So is the case with healing. Raw area will not heal in weeks time, probably it will take 4-6 weeks depending upon the size of raw area if open surgery is done. If the discharge is foul smeling then probably you need to change antibiotics. On the whole you have nothing to worry about.

Dr. Kiran Mehta.

The treatment advised to you seems reasonable. You can add high fibre diet like green leafy vegetables and fruits, lots of water intake and increase in physical activities. Use the liquid paraffin before going for defecation. It's job is to lubricate the anus. Please don't expect immediate relief. Regards.

Give her plenty of liquid and water.
Give fresh, seasonal, whole fruits to eat instead of juices. Add green leafy vegetables in her diet and more fibrous food in diet.

Topical steroids are to be used only for the prescribed duration of period and also to be used in small amounts only over the affected area. If used for a longer than prescribed duration or in excess amounts can cause side effects which I am sure you are well versed with. So do follow up with your doctor.
