My son is of age of 1 year and 2 month yesterday he had passed 12 to 14 times stool since morning after that I had given enterogermina then the frequency of passing stool has became 4 times today but from yesterday mid night he had fever and I had given a syrup of salt paracetamol125 mg, phenylephrine HCL5 mg &chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg out of 5 ml then fever decreases but again and again fever is coming.

Hello. He had loose motions several time and fever so better to consult pediatric doctor in clinic. Doctor can examine and what tests are required or not he tell you better. As your son had loose motions and fever so there will be the chance of infection. So better to consult child specialist. Thank you.

HI, My grandmother is 95 years old female, suffering from shortness of breath, and cough, congestion is so much that while she gasps, she makes noises as if there is lot of cough and she is coughing also. She is doing it very frequently and she just keeps gasping and coughing, we gave her some arsenic liquid drops as suggested by the doctor, I have tried chest and cold tablets, and Dr. reddy's levodropropizine chlorpheniramine maleate syrup too, but no use. Can you please suggest the diet and what to avoid to help ease her coughing and gasping (perhaps it is shortness of breath) as soon as possible?

My son is 3.5 years old. As he is suffering from cough .i gave him peadriatic sinowin drops near about 1 ml (composition 1 ml contains phenylephrine hydrochloride ip 6 mg. And chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg. But at night he started behaving abnormal ly like something is biting him. He started crying. I am very much worried. Is this side effect of medicine. Please please reply.

This probably is not the side effect of the medicine. But anyways once you have doubt better stop the medicine use. Keep checking if the child still behaves abnormally even in the absence of medicine.

In oct 2020, I experienced right groin pain along with tenderness and pain in right testicle and scrotum and pain extends to thigh sometimes. Homeopathy doctor diagnosed as orchitis and gave medicine and pain subsidised in two days. Same symptoms started again in dec 2020 and after ultrasound, its observed as left grade 3 varicocele and the treatment was taken february for varicocele and no changes in pain. Recent ultrasound detects possible left sided orchitis. My question is, if the infection is left sided and why the pain is right sided is this scenario possible? No pain at all on the left side. Now doctor prescribed azithromycin and diethylcarbamazine for a week. Its been 3 days and no changes noticed yet. Is there any other cause for this groin pain. No pain in night times. It starts once I woke up and my routine start. I am suffering a lot from almost three months. Please help me. Also, if I masturbate. I notice increased pain after ejaculation. Sometimes pain aggravates on sitting and sometimes on standing.

My granny (63 year old) have skin allergic problem suffering since 4 to 5 year, had consult with several doctors but don't get positive result, only get relief while taking medicine and lotion, have too much dry skin without rubbing oil & lotion (home remedies), feel itching through out the day. What type of test should go through it. Suggest me any lotion/tablets. Currently following these medicine, attached picture of skin allergy 1. Miconazole nitrate cream 2. Chlorpheniramine maleate tablet 3. Itraconazole capsules.

I am 45 years old woman. I constantly take cough syrup containing codeine phosphate and chlorpheniramine or trypolidin like 5 bottles or more a day. I cannot become normal without taking it first. It makes me sweat a lot. Sometimes I used to pass out unconscious but later wake up. When I try to stop, I become sleepy, my legs hurt and cannot sleep, runny noise and no stamina. My eyes hurts I become restless and sweat so much. Now a day I take anxynil and alprazolam like 6 nos or more too. I do not mingle with my friends rather I like watching tv or readv novels. I eat my diabetes medicine like glycomet, bp control ,pantop dsr and some vitamins daily. I wish I could stop it. This isbmaking drink cold drink frequently. Its hard to sleep early. I smoke cigarettes. My weight turn heavy and I am now a fat one. Is there any hope for me to stop it all but it affects my financial condition. Is there any side effect just for taking syrup. Is there a substitute while trying to stop without suffereeinbpbpppp. please help me.

You have become addicted. Also please do thyroid scan. Reduce your cough syrup intake slowly don't stop abruptly and do exercises. Go for long walks in the morning and evening. You have to find time for yourself.

My daughter starts suffering from running nose and cough and mild fever from 21/08/218. She is 7 months old and 7.8 Kg in weight. The consulting doctor prescribed the following medicines Levolin 1 mg [ Levosalbutamol Syrup 1 mg] - 1.5 ml per day Indominic-P Syrup [Phenylephrine Hydrochloride & Chlorpheniramine Maleate Syrup] - 1.5 ml per day Babygesic Paracetamol Drops [Acetaminophen Oral Suspension IP] - .8 ml in 6 hours interval But yesterday her temperature increases and we just move with her to another paediatric clinic. The temperature reported was 101.4. She was suddenly treated with “Suppositories”. After a while temperature normalize. Along with all the medicine, the doctor prescribed Azithromycin Oral Suspension IP 20 mg/ml [Azithral Liquid 100] 4 ml daily in 4 days from today onwards. Now I understand that Azithral Liquid 100 is an antibiotic used against bacterial infections. So I have a doubt. Is it safe to use Azithral Liquid 100 without without doing any blood or urine check up? She has still mild temperature. Please advice me.

Hi, I want to discuss the problem of my younger brother, who is 33 years old. He z suffering from very serious problem from 4-5 yrs. He didn't share his problem with anyone but he thinks everyday, to get rid from that. I came to know about this in last year, when some guy frm his college office calls me, where he works as lecturer frm 4-5 yrs. He told me that your brother is addicted to drugs in Cough Syrup form (COREX) - which contains [chlorpheniramine MALEATE AND CODEINE PHOSPHATE] daily 2-3 bottles of {100 ML} from 3-4 yrs. I get very much worried tht he is wasting all things his life, his health, money and does not interact with anyone, and always sleep in full day and wake up on every night. His body always keep on sweating and every time his hands starts shivering, and feels embarrassment frm thz situation ,specially when some one points him. He was brilliant in studies, but now days he has loose his all confidence and get lost in his mind only and start thinking that, every one makes fun of him and get conscious every time, to overcome this thing, he starts ignoring every one and starts living alone. The effect of sleeping all day is due to codeine which is a sedative. Even Chlorpheniramine is sedating. Cough syrup addiction is a common outlet for depressed college students who did not have means of getting hard drugs.

"As" per your clinical history is concerned pain in the hand,feet and chest is not due to jaundice so to rule out it please check your blood and urine for bile salt and pigments.

Do a clinical examination by your treating Doctor and check your blood differential count on tomorrow morning and if eosinophil % is high then discuss with your Doctor about [ diethylcarbamazine].
