If you have full tetanus toxoid vaccination schedule one shot can provide more than one year immunity.

Another T.T. Is given to prevent from tetnus for a longer period even if you get injury in that period. However the 2nd dose is usually given 4-6 weaks after and the third dose after 6-8 months.
