My mother is suffering from diabetes and bp from 3 months she is having vomiting sensation and also vomiting while having food. Her bp level is 115/78. Sugar level is 175 mg/dl. Hba1c 7.4% medications are 1. Vildanat m 500 metformin (500 mg)+ vildagliptin (50 mg). 1-0-1 2. Remo zen (remogliflozin etabonate 100 mg) ½-0-½ 3. Olmin trio (olmesartan medoxomil (20 mg)+ cilnidipine (10 mg)+ chlorthalidone (12. 5 mg). 1-0-1 4. Omez dsr 1-0-1. Please tell me what is her problem.

Hello, I want to know about olmesartan and triolmesar. Are these both tablets same contents. I take triolmesar 20. Can I take olmesartan. Please suggest.

No they are not the same..
Triolmesar contain 3 different medicine including olmesartan.
And it is better don't change any medication without consulting..

Hello sir, My dad is 64 years old. He suffers from type 2 diabetes and hypertension. He takes olmezest am 40 for HTN. My question is - can he take OLMAX LN 40 as it contains another calcium channel blocker cilnidipine at 10 mg (5 mg cilnidipine is not available with olmesartan. As per my research on pubmed articles are in favor of cilnidipine as cilnidipine is an N-type and L-type CCB that also inhibits sympathomimetic activity in contrast to other DHPs and amlodipine therapy has adverse effects, most commonly pedal edema. So Cilnidipine being an N-type and L-type CCB is associated with lower incidence of pedal edema compared to the L-type channel blocked by amlodipine.

Clinically seen effect of Cilnidipine is different from Amlodipine in a lot of patients. Although, 10 mg of Cilnidipine is considered equivalent to 5 mg of Amlodipine, a shift from Amlodipine to Cilnidipine may lead to reduced efficacy atleast fir the first 1-2 weeks. You may change the medicines if unacceptable pedal edema is present.

I take telvas3d (aristo) for hypertension. Telvas 3d is a fixed dose combination of telmisartan (40 mg) plus amlodipine (5 mg) plus hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. I am 72 plus and now due to covid I am taking medicines online from pharmacy. Recently pharmacy doctor called me and intimated that in stead of telvas 3d they will supply telista ch of lupin. I asked him to confirm whether telista ch contains all the three ingredients and the doctor confirmed. But when the medicine arrived it is seen that telista ch contains only telmisartan, 40 plus chlorthalidone 12.5.there is no amlopidine ie calcium channel component. Both the medicines are anti hypertension medicines but they are not identical and equivalent .function of amlopidine will not be there in telista ch please confirm.

since you are on tripple combination and telista ch already purchased separate 5 mg amlodepine can be taken along with telistach. Since contain diuretic with telmisartan can be taken in the morning along with amlodepine. This three medicine include different class given in uncontrolled hypertension. Since you are 72 years ocasional andsodium and potassium and may be tested. This combination are relatively safe drugs.

Now i am taking these following medicenes: 1-selomax 50/5 (metoprolol succinate extended relese& amlodipine besilate tablets) 2-paroxee cr 25 (paroxetine hcl controlled release tab) 3-winbp ct40/6.25 (omlesartan medoxomil 40mg &chlorthalidone 6.25mg tab) 4-febumac 40 (febuxostat tab 40mg) 5-bio-d3 max (calcitriol, omega-3-fatty acids (epa&dha, methylcobalamin, folic acid, boron, calcium carbonate soft geltincap) in 1st june 2015 I had bp-150/80, pulse-76& triglyceride-223mg/dl. Sir please advice me about my medication and can I use medication or any type of suppliments for weight loss?

Hypertension, diabetes and associated medications can affect erection by decreasing blood flow to the penis, kindly get evaluation done by performing a penile doppler ultrasound, rigiscan, hormonal evaluation and get treated accordingly.
