Trinicalm Plus 5 Mg/2 Mg Tablet Health Feed

Dear Lybrate doctor, I need not have to tell you about my mental condition and the drugs taken to counter them, since I have elaborated them in my previous texts. You have been very patient in answering queries, not bothering about the times I ask them. I have a lot of trust in you and my queries are purely a second opinion detail, before being thrown into the fray right away. Depression and anxiety are taken care of by nexito forte & clonotril .25 mg and hence there are no issues here. The main problem is to find a suitable combination to counter my schizophrenia. As mentioned to you in my previous queries, I have tried so many combinations, some with relief and some found wanting. Due to financial constraints, I am unable to afford for costly drugs. The latest combination goes this way:- 1)trinicalm plus 1-0-1. 2)sizopin 75 mg 0-0-1. This combination is cheap and hence affordable. My query is:- can this combination be taken together or either they are contraindicated or there will be any drug interactions. Also, highlight me about trifluoperazine (trinicalm plus), it’s uses, side effects and drug interactions. At present, for depression/anxiety, I am on nexito forte along with clonotril 0.25 mg and sizopin and cizorest for schizophrenia. There is relief please answer my queries. Thanks.

It is not clear as to what medications you are currently taking. Is it cizorest or trinicalm? In both cases there are no drug interactions and if you have any it would be an isolated or rare event. I however would like for you to consult your psychiatrist regarding any issues that you may have. You are also welcome to consult us online.
Look forward to hearing from you. If you need help with booking an appointment online with me on this website either text, an appointment for a confidential ...more

Dear lybrate-user,
Trinicalm forte belongs to older first generation antipsychotic. You can replace it with newer second generation antipsychotic like Amisulpride. But the dosage of amisulpride needs to be fixed, depending on your improvement and side effects.
Discuss with your psychiatrist about it. May be, she/he is in the process of shifting you from trinicalm forte to amisulpride.

It can be given, but there can be some drowsiness or tiredness and it is preferable not to drive vehicles, or handle dangerous machinery.

Good afternoon,
Although there is no simple answer to your question, weighing the benefits that are way more than the long-term side effects of the medication, it might be best for your father to be on the medication rather than go off of it.
Look forward to hearing from you. If you need help with booking an appointment online with me on this website either text, audio or video appointment for a confidential and private consultation you may do so by contacting the help desk of Lybrate.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Recent reports have raised the concern that clozapine increases the risk for diabetes mellitus. Accurate pharmacoepidemiologic data on whether such a hazard exists and its magnitude are needed to enable clinicians and patients to make proper treatment decisions about clozapine. I suggest you to consult your psychiatrist for more clear insight. Take care.
