Asked for female, 30 years old from Jhajjar

I was bleeding since 9 march to 20 march very heavily. After that I consult gynecologist, reports shows I hv pcod nd hypothyroid near upper limit 4.4,endometrial thickness 20.58 cm and Dr. gave me ocp, composition ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg & drospirenone 3 mg, and thyroxine 25 mcg, I am taking this medicine since 20 th march ,but still I am bleeding like first day of periods 5-10 ml blood loss, bleeding not fully stopped, I am taking medicine at sane time all day without skipping, I talked to my Dr. ,she told me I should take tranexamic acid tablet, I also had this 2 day ,but bleeding not fully stopped, what should I do please suggest?

You need a higher dose ocp. Switch over to Ovral G for this cycle and then go back to the prescribed one in the next.

We had unprotected sex but before ejaculation we stopped and to rule out any chances of pregnancy I had unwanted 72 within 24 hours. After 3 days we had protected sex but I started bleeding in between and the bleeding become heavy with clots. To stop that I consumed tranexamic acid tablet 500 mg. The bleeding stopped in 3 days and after 3 days of that we again tried to have protected sex but I started bleeding again which was just a light bleeding which stopped in few hours. I don’t know what’s the reason of this bleeding every time I try to have sex.

4 years back .when I was 45 year old (female. I stopped having period and it stopped for 5 months .then they start coming and remain for 4 months regularly then suddenly period started after 5 days of last period and I consulted a doctor ,he gave me tranexamic acid and mefanic acid .and period become regular ultrasound was normal. They they stayed regular for 1 year .then another episode of stoppage of period followed by irregularity .ultrasound done was normal and took same treatment .now this prob again started 1 month back .doc gave progesterone tablets for 1 month .now period are heavy after taking progesterone tablet .and pain in lower abdomen is also there .kindly suggest me what to do .pap smear doing is necessary. And what sis next step to be done .i am 49 years old female with g2 p2 l2 a0.

Dear Lybrate user you should go for pap smear test, it is necessary.
Its better to rule out other bad things.
Mean while you should take sarivadya-asava and ashoka-rista together 20-20 ml after meal with water.
Chandra prabha vati twice daily.

Hello doctor .actually gynecologist suggest my mother to do hysterectomy and please I want to tell you is there any other second option for treating the problem without hysterectomy. Please doctor answer. She is suffering from multiple fibroid and dysmenorreah. Pain during periods. Heavy bleeding .please answer please mothers age is 40 years and last 1 year she is suffering from this. Recently she has done ultrasound and it says (bulky adenomyosis uterus with thick endometrium [ et 17 mm ] and multiple intramural fibroids without endometrial compression and perimenopause ovaries ). My mothers hg level is 8.2 ,and doctor suggest the medicine tranexa mf (tranexamic acid and mefenic acid 500 mg) three tablets per day for 3 days only and then duoluton l (levonorgestrel and ethinylestradiol tablets ip) a 21 day course starting from 15 th june 2020. Please mam I am so much tensed.

As she is anemic and heavy bleeding. Give a trial with duolton l or mirena. Meanwhile start iron tablets. If not controlled with these hormones then surgery is the last option.

I have underwent a polyp removal surgery on 18 nov 19 (one month ago from today). As per usg report I have a small fibroid in the uterus and an endometrial polyp. The biopsy report is normal. However, the bleeding stops only for two days after the surgery and thereafter it's bleeding continuously. My doctor prescribed me tranetranexamix acid and mefemefenamic acid and medroxyprogesterone medicines for five days. But the bleeding not stops completely. Presently it seems that I am undergoing periods. My doctor is now advising for mirena inserted. What to do now. She is saying that as it was endometrial polyp hence it is not getting recovered. Please suggest best treatment. I don't want to go for another surgery, are there any medicine treatment available?

u can take norethisterone combined with tranexamic acid.get a good transvaginal scan after bleeding stops.

I'm a breast cancer survivor. Dx with papillary carcinoma and dcis in july 2018. Staging and grade were questionable due to mishandling of the lumpectomy. Under went 1 lumpectomy, 1 recession with sential node dissection. Also received 16 rounds of radiation and placed on tamoxifen for 5 years commencing in nov. 2018. Period ceased due to medical menopause in august 2019. As of april 5th I started spotting and it became extremely heavy on april 9th and am still bleeding 17 days later. On april 15th I reached out to my medical oncologist for advice and was immediately taken off of tamoxifen and sent to the hospital for further investigation. I had blood drawn, a pelvic exam and a repeat ultrasound. (i had one done in feb of 2020 showing 2 fairly large cysts measuring 3.3 cms and 4.6 cms one on each ovary. At this time my endometrium was showing thickening measuring at 22 mm.) the recent ultrasound showed the adnexal cysts had decreased bin size the largest is now 3.3 cms but is showing cystic changes and my endometrium is now showing double layer with thickening of 20. 6 mm with some peripheral vascular. I've been taking 3g tranexamic acid since april 16 and although it has slowed the flow a bit it's still bright red and am still passing clots. I'm now about to run out of tranexamic acid medication tomorrow, i'm afraid how much the bleeding will be once the meds are done. I've been referred to a gone but haven't received a call yet. I have been told they cannot rule anything out yet as I need the expertise of a gyne. I'm not trying to scare myself but i'm anxious and it would greatly help to know what my odds are that this is malignant. I find going in totally blind causes me more anxiety and stress than knowing that this may be a real possibility. What do you suggest? Also anything I should look out for if the bleeding gets worse? I'm on tylenol 3 for the pain but it's not helping and it gets so severe I throw up. Please help!
