Hi lybrate-user. There is no correlation between the sugars and hba1c. Hba1c of 6 if correct is too controlled and he may be facing hypoglycemic attacks. Need dose adjustment of medications. And creatinine is a but high may be landing in diabetic nephropathy. You can consult me online for diabetes dose adjustment and other issues. Thank you.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
The blood glucose levels mentioned show that you have very good control of diabetes. To improve your overall well being you may consider joining a gym and doing regular workouts and take some protein supplements to build better muscle and improve appearance. Secondly if you are happy with your health and energy level, then that should be good enough. Thanks.

Amlodipine you are taking for your blood pressure can cause ankle and feet swelling. Hence if the problem is not bothering, you may very well consider continue this or reduce to half the dose, once a day that is. If the problem still persists you need to think of stopping it altogether and consider alternate hypertensive medication.

It will take some time. Follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U should eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say whatever is your traditional food. If punjabi eat paratha, if belongs to sout...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. She is definitely on multiple medications for controlling her blood glucose levels. The glucose levels and HbA1c % mentioned show there is very good control achieved. Which also means medications are working very well. One of the draw backs of very strict glucose control is the possibility of hypoglycemic episodes. Major contributor for that is the Insulin. So if there are repeated episodes, then pleas look at the possibility of r...more

I need some more details from you to guide you effectively, like weight, height, waist circumference and level of activity (exercising). You have also not mentioned sugar levels and hba1c also. I need them to guide you. Still a few things I want you to follow
1) do regular pranayama, if you know the details or learn it
2) do certain yoga asanas like manduk asana, pawanmuktasana etc.
3) increase consumption of fiber in your diet by using fenugreek seeds, more green salads. I await ...more
