I was diagnosed as case of bipolar disorder about 20 years ago since then I was under treatment. Though I had psychiatric treatment earlier also. At present I am being treated by a veteran retired visiting psychiatrist and on librium tapering off. It is reduced from 10 mg TDS to 5 mg BD in last three weeks and we are likely to finish it in next three weeks. I am taking bupropionSR 150 OD and topiramate 25 BD. I am also taking amlopres. I feel anxiety and hyperdynamic specially in morning to noon rest of the day is normal. I take librium 5, topiramate 25 and amlopres at 7.00 from 8-12 or so I feel above mentioned symptoms rest of the day is normal. As I read more about the disorder medicines prescribed, their interaction and side effects watched related videos I feel more scared and confused. My question is tapering off schedule and treatment wise are we on right track?

Respected sir/maam, i'm a student preparing for iit jee exam. I have permanent headache from last 3 years. It occurs daily 24 hours × 7 days and i'm so depressed due to my headache as it occurs daily. I feels it as my forehead is stretching, eyes are heavy and then my overall efficiency gets down. It also pains in left and right portion of head. Will taking of ((topirol25 )) and ((napra d250)) helpful? As previously i've medicated with stalopam 10 mg and ciplar la40 but these medicines didn't put any effect on me. Pls help me sir/maam. My exam is to approach and i'm worried due to my my permanent headache.

I am diabetic. 38 years old. Hba1c is 8.2.fasting is 131. Ppbs is 202. actually I consulted 2 drs. One doctor prescribed xigduo 10 1000 and tenepride m 1000 .the 2nd one asked me to take topirol 25 twice lipophage 60 twice cetapin xr 1000 twice daily and siaglide d 10 100 once in a day. Also voglibose. 2 immediately before breakfast. The first Dr. also prescribed voglibose ppg .2.i am 181 cm tall and 96 kg .but earlier I used tobtake glycovil 50 vildagliptin twice a day. But the issue is that I lead a stressful lifestyle and tensed up for most of the time. Also I crave for foods like bananas biscuits etc. What should I do to stop this craving?

To stop the cravings is in your hands and will power. Regarding drugs, every doctor follow their own schedule of the drug and sooner or later if sugar is not controlled, you ll be on all the class of oha.

I am 24 year old ocdian suffering from ocd from past 10 years though a bit of small to moderate symptoms were present earlier also but they were not as intense as one's life would stop. I was on paxidep cr 62.5 mg for a long time and on oleanz 1.25 mg for 3 months last year in april but they were weight gaining medicine so my doctor prescribed topiramate 25-50 mg .I took it for 14 days and left oleanz as my wt was about 95 kg. I don't know what happened my nature of thoughts completely changed from then. My thoughts had started coming in a slow manner and they were resistant to any therapy I would practice. Also thoughts of guilt and compulsion which had stopped coming long back restarted again. I took paxidep for 5 more months along with buspin 15 mg for few months. But there was hardly any change I noticed in my condition. I realized that the medicines are hardly having any effect on me. So I stopped the medicines for about 50 days and I saw no change in my symptoms after withdrawal also. My doctor was not understanding my situation So I changed the doctor and they changed my medicines and even then my thoughts slowed down much more. Now when I am studying anything l learn is looking same as anything I don't remember. It's almost become impossible to study. My other concern is that my anxiety has fallen down rapidly after that topiramate incident. So What exactly has happened?

Please go for psychotherapy. You deserve to be happier and healthier. OCD is well managed trough psychotherapy. Also download or buy a book called Brain Lock and read it. Also do follow a healthier lifestyle - spend some time outdoors, eat a balanced and healthy diet including lots of water and fruits. These will nut treat you but help in your treatment. You do not have to suffer all your life. All the best.

An abnormality in dat scan is suggestive of parkinsons disorder. Since you are already on antipsychotics, drug induced effect may have exacerbated that. Your treatment needs major modifications because the psychitaric treatment has a bad impact on and precipitates these tremors and slowness.

I am 26 years old male, working in corporate sector .20 days from ago I was facing severe headache in right upper side of forehead, I visited neurologist he suggested naxdom 250 once daily. Taken that for 5 days still the pain was same. Then CT scan was done which was normal. Then he suggested one more pill topaz 25 daily in night. N naxdom 250 twice daily. From last 6 days I am regularly consuming pills. But still 2 times the pain was same. Please let me know. What better can I do?

Hello doctor,i have a long medical history. I used to have headache all the time of the day so i started taking pain killers and then after few months thet became ineffective. Also I gained a lot of weight abruptly inspite of proper diet. Dan i saw a neurologist he prescribed me with topiramate for migraine. It has also become ineffective. N now i experience heat flashes, insomnia, depression, n inability to lose weight. Also i experience low blood pressure and kind of swelling or water retention all over the body.What is the possible cause for all this.Is there any hormonal problem or something else as I have gone through the thyroid test and it came normal.Please suggest wat tests should i get done?

get an eye test and uric acid test done from a proper place. Whatever problems you mentioned later,
can be because of increase in weight and anxiety related to it. Check up with dietitian or nutritionist. For anxiety talk to counselor. You can talk to me on my personal forum.

I am being treated for bipolar disorder for last 20 years. Presently I am on librium tapering off and reduced it from 10 mg TDS to 5 mg BD in last 21 days under supervision of a veteran retired visiting psychiatrist and and I am likely to finish tapering off in next 20 days. I am being given bupropionSR 150 OD and topiramate 25 twice a day. Besides I also take AmlopresAT OD. I feel anxiety and find myself a bit hyperdynamic specially from 8' 0 clock to 12' 0clock I have also lost about 5 kg weight during one month. More I read about bipolar disorder and medicines, their interaction and side effects more restless I become. Now I have stopped reading and watching videos about disorder and treatment. Please tell me am I on right track.

Good evening, I am diagnosed with bipolar mood disorder after a traumatic brain injury in 2008: impairment in frontal lobe/executive dysfunction, t2 wi am using the above for my brain injury, white matter hyperintensity suggestive of a focal area of demyelination, central nervousness system damage -multiple sclerosis (ms), memory/ concentration, depression and agitation, sleep, epilepsy I had subsequently suffered kidney failure in 2017 and was in a coma for 2 weeks. I am currently on the following medication: I am using the meds below for my brain injury: topamax 200 mg x2 odiven 75 mg x3 yelate 60 mg x2 at night zyprexa 10 mg at night diabetic medications: actraphane hm (ge) 24 units in the morning 22 units at night indo metformin (glucophase) 1000 mg x2 in february 2019 I woke up with the most excruciating pain in my jaw, next to my nose, cheek and lower face area. This intense, stabbing, electric shock-like pain will last for several seconds every 2 to 5 minutes. At the hospital the Dr. said I had a stroke but my brain scan showed that the stroke happened a while back. The neuro specialist diagnosed me with trigeminal neuralgia and is treating me with carbamazepine 400g x2 per day. The side effects are killing me. I have lost 21 kg since feb. I am 52 years old, 1.73 tall and weight 65 kg. I have continuous diarrhea. Can't keep any food in and have abdominal pain. Every time I weigh myself I have lost another kg. Am I busy getting anorexia? Is there any way to manage this? I am short of breath, dizzy and fainting. I am exhausted have no energy my body is tired. Which vitamins can I take to boost my system? Is there any medicine or supplement that is on the market that will make me feel better? The psychiatrist said they can't change the medication (carbamazepine) because of the medication that i'm currently using. Could you please advice.

Dear ,
are you still on topamac? Now that you are on carbamazepine (helpful for neuralgia and brain injury), you may not need topamac (for brain injury). Request your doctor whether you can reduce and stop it. Topamac reduces weight. Stopping it may help you to some extent. At this age weight reduction is good for your diabetes and other health conditions. With 65 kg, you are still not underweight.
