Hello lybrate-user,
high RDW-SD seen in cases of vitamin B12 deficiency, Folate deficiency, iron deficiency, anemia, etc. It is common variation in CBC. If RDW-SD is high with other abnormal parametres then it should be a concerning point.

I am 34 years old male, unmarried. I am doing a small Job as SAP consultant in Bangalore, India. I am earning around 20k per month. This is not at all enough to live in bangalore. I have around 10 years of gap in my education and discontinued my B.E and pursued B.Sc in correspondence, did certification in SAP SD. I am feeling depressed always. I always feel I don't know anything and others feel bad about me and I will be shameless. I want to lead happy life with peace and enjoy all challenges and grow in life. Small things also I feel very big, I know they are small and I do good but always doubting on myself. All negative thoughts and always criticize myself for silly things also. My daily routines are not good. I miss physical exercise and Meditation. No time for good things and wasting time in Games, chat and smoke, and wasting money also. Sometimes I feel like end my life and let my parents be relaxed and live peacefully since I am no more supporting my family and becoming like a big weight on them. I never want to give anybody any trouble, at least my family. Kindly guide me how to overcome all these and leave happy full of life by enjoying everything.

Firstly, I assume a physician has recommended these tests for a reason, please check with him/her. Based on the information provided, it appears that he needs diet and workout counseling. Being a teenager, shedding few kilos would help him gain confidence. Ensure he gets full body workout at least 4 days a week for 30 minutes. I understand he takes in non-veg food, try to reduce fatty materials, and reduce simple carbohydrates. Try to consult a dietician and workout expert...more

Hi
welcome to Lybrate doctors will ask for tests based on the symptoms of patients-- without knowing patient symptoms doctor will not decide based on test reports alone.
Only after discussing patient problems and studying test results --treatment can be suggested you can go to a doctor with test results and discuss your problems and get treatment or if there is difficulty you can consult online with your test results and symptoms.
