lybrate-user, Lipicure tablet is given in a person who has increased lipid level (cholesterol) particularly total cholesterol, LDL & Triglycerides. In a person with diabetes most often there dyslipidemia (increased lipids). Therefore such a tablet is given. Fenofibrate is more often used when triglycerides are increased. Thanks.

Triglycerides are manufactured in liver from alcohol sugar jaggery and starchy foods. Reduce these in your diet. Tonact is needed for patients of blockages. TG is fenofibrate, required for very rare diseases. So you are taking 2 medicines for no good reason, try to reduce, not increase medicines. Best wishes.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
By taking Atorvastatin 2 tablets a day (20 mg per day), is unlikely to cause any such problem of increase in blood glucose. It is possible that you were earlier in a pre-diabetes state and that condition has now changed to overt diabetes. Please tell me the earlier Fasting, PP levels if you remember. In any case if present level is showing 300 mg, then it needs to be treated. So please check fasting, PP and HbA1c% and come back. Also inform details lik...more

Hi have noted all your details,
A triglyceride level of less then 300 mg/dl needs not to be treated with fenofibrinates.
Asian population have high levels of triglycerides due to our genetics. In case you want to start medication ,start with low dose of statin like atorvastatin, they effect triglycerides also, and are safer then fenofibrinates.
45 min of strenous exercise should be done every day, 30 minutes of walk at speed not less then 5.1 km/hr should be done daily
avoid ghee ...more
