Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
The condition you are having is hypothyroidism and the treatment for that is to take adequate dosage of Levothyroxine (Eltroxine). This is because your thyroid is not producing enough of hormone Thyroxine. Anti Thyrox tablets are totally different, used to treat Hyperthyroidism, that is when Thyroid gland is producing excess of hormone thyroxine. I hope you understand. Thanks.

lybrate-user,
With accidental ingestion 75 mcg of thyroxine nothing is likely to happen. But it is always better to keep all the medications away from the reach of children. Thanks.

Lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Thyroxine is taken early morning on emty stomach. Then nothing should be taken after that for at least 1 to 1 and half hour. Albendazole is to be taken at night, plus usually it is just one tablet or at times may be repeated after a fortnight. There is absolutely no problem in taking that if needed. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the query.
Hypothyroidism treatment with levothyroxine is for lifetime, because the it is hormone (thyroxine) deficiency disorder. All patients with this condition have to take the drug for lifetime and si very well tolerated as seen with thousands of patients. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
First and foremost is her Hypothyroidism has to be strictly controlled. TSH has to be maintained around 2 mU/L. Plus once if conception occurs then TSH has to be maintained through out the gestation period around the same number. It is clear that present dosage needs to be increased. You ask her to take 62.5 mcg that is add 12.5 mcg and then check TSH after 6 weeks. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.

lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query.
The treatment for hashimoto's thyroiditis (ht) is taking adequate amount of levothyroxine and maintaining tsh level with in normal range. Since your tsh 0,2 mu/l (normal range 0.5 to 4.5 or 5 mu/l). It appears that 100 mcg of levothyroxine is slightly higher than required. My suggestion is please check tsh after another 6 weeks. If then level goes still lower then dosage may have to be reduced by 12.5 mcg per day.
As regards high anti tpo antibodies...more

Usually thyroxine is life long medicine after diagnosis of underactive thyroid. Once you start thyroxine, we need to get tsh test after 6 weeks to see if this dose is correct or we need to increase or decrease the dose. Please do not stop medication without doctor s advise as hypothyroidism has lots of implications of body. Please book appt to discuss recent tsh result and medication dose.

Mr. Lybrate-user, hypothyroidism is diagnosed when tsh level is above 10 milli units/ml. Levels between 6 to 9.9 milli units of tsh are considered as subclinical and no treatment is advocated, unless t4 levels are low and some symptoms are also present. Dose of thyroxine in hypothyroidism is dependent on tsh level and body weight.
Unless the details like tsh and t4 levels are given no comments can be made.
