Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. It appears that some other doctor must have answered you earlier. As I do not recommend thyropace in the treatment of hypothyroidism. This has absolutely no role to play. The only treatment for hypothyroidism is taking an adequate dose of levothyroxine and maintain tsh around 3 to 4 mu/l. At that level all the symptoms are in check. Brain fog as stated could be due to inadequate treatment. So please check your tsh and...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details, it is a bit surprising to know when TSH was 1.21 mU/L, dose was increased to 100 mcg of Thyroxine.
Ideally when adequate dosage is taken (of Levothyroxine) TSh should be maintained aroun 3 to 4 mU/L.
Now as the TSh is down to 0.08 mU/L, dosage of Levothyroxine needs to be reduced to either 75 mcg or even 62.5 mcg per day. Then check TSH after 6 weeks to see what has been the benefit.
Very low TSH can give symptoms of Hyperthy...more

The target tsh levels in a case of patients on treatment forhypothyroidism is 1-2 mu/l. So, you are suboptimally treated. You need to hike up your thyroxine dose under the supervision of your doctor to achieve that target. Make sure that you take tab. Thyroxine preferably empty stomach 1 hr. Before breakfast or otherwise at least 2.5 hrs after dinner.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Usually following delivery requirement of thyroxine reduces. However, since now TSH is at 2.8 mU/L, (recommended range 32 to 4 mU/L), it necessary to continue the same dose. Further, she should check TSH levels periodically (once in 6 months). Please remember treatment of hypothyroidism is for lifetime. If you have any doubts please do come back. Thanks.

Mr Chandan, Thyroxine tablets do not cause such effect at all. Do you have any cough or throat infection? There may be some different reason for blood that may have been noticed.
