There are no side effects provided your TSH is kept in the normal range (0.4-4.5 mU/L). Hence keep monitoring your TSH regularly as suggested by your endocrinologist.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
TSH 11.3 mU/L is too high. When one is on treatment with adequate dosage of levothyroxine, TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. Then all the symptoms related to hypothyroidism are in complete check. So you will have to increase the dosage by 12.5 mcg to (50 + 12.5 = 62.5 mcg) to 62.5 mcg per day. Plus I am sure you are aware that thyroxine tablets have to be taken on empty stomach early morning and then nothing should be taken for at least 1 to 1.and half...more
