Has there been further mris done? What has your doctor told you? Additionally are you taking up counseling to manage your behaviour, low concentration, confidence etc? Both line of treatment should run in parallel for overall results. Psychiatric meds do have side effects but they should not be stopped without consultation with your Dr. If you are finding improvements and your Dr. can confirm that then gradually the dosage can be reduced and subsequently stopped. But it is very important to go f...more

Normally the mainstay of anxiety treatment is medication such as SSRI class of drugs which are highly effective for anxiety. Beta blockers such as betacap, or benzodizepines are only given temporarily to control the physical symptoms of anxiety till the SSRI medicine starts to take effect.

Also dose used for anxiety is usually between 20 to 40. 60mg is not used.

Hello! nexito does give some relief but if there no improvement as such you could inform the doctor and he might increase the dose or change it.
Inderal is best for performance anxiety but if it's not being ameffective now you can ask the doctor to increase its dose. Apart from that relaxation technique can also help.

Dear Ramawat,
Most drugs are used for many indications. From the drugs don't think about diagnosis. Septamin forte is usually given in Vitamin B12 deficiency. But can be given in many other conditions as an add on. Nexito though an antidepressant can be used for OCD, somatization disorders, IBS, etc. Inderal can be used to as an hypotensive. But in anxiety and panic, it can be used to reduce the palpitations. It all depends on the diagnosis and predominant symptoms at a particular stage of t...more

Yes you can, but make sure you don't do it regularly as alcohol worsens anxiety. If it is social drinking once a month or so, then fine. All the best.

I would suggest that you visit a cardiac electrophysiologist nearby, who is an expert in cardiac rhythm disorders. The exact nature of your palpitations has to be found out before suggesting change in medications. Because palpitations can be secondary to a normal rhythm as well as abnormal rhythm.
Also we have drugs which have a better safety profile than inderal.

Don't stop any medication without your doc's advice.
If you suddenly stop a medicine, the effect from the previous days carry on for some more days; that's why you feel better. Eventually the medicine will lose its effects & you won't feel good.

There are not interactions of having taking the medications with the time intervals that you have given. Although you are not very clear about the reason for having asked the question, there does seem to be an underlying concern. It can be addressed confidentially.
Look forward to hearing from you. If you need help with booking an appointment online with me on this website either text, audio, or video appointment for a confidential and private consultation you may do so by contacting the hel...more
