I am 19 years and i've always had heavy period since I started my period, I started my period at the age of 9. I tried using tranexamic acid as the doctor prescribed but it didn't work for me. What other medication can I use. The heavy periods usually affect my school activities making me have bad grades once in a while.

I am suffering from internal hemorrhoids, as if now I have no pain but only bleeding. For bleeding I am using etamsylate & tranexamic acid but also bleeding does not stopped. Due to continuous bleeding while defecation leads to weakness & low hb. Please suggest good medicine to stop bleeding.

Hello! If the bleeding is very severe take Inj Tranexa 1 g right away. If not Tab Trapic with ethamsylate 2 tablets three times a day is the maximum dose. You can take upto 5 days and slowly taper and decrease the dose as per your bleeding. Do check your hemoglobin levels if this is happening constantly and make sure you do not have any contraindications to taking trapic that is conditions which increase risk of clotting. You have to use tapering dose of regesterone tablets. First 5 days 3 times daily
second 5 days 2 times daily
third 5 days once daily. On stopping the tabs after 15dys you must have normal periods.

Hi I am 28 year old male. I am suffering from melasma on my face. before 3 years I used many triple combination cream after that I did consult a dermatologist he prescribed skin lightening cream like black and kromalite and I tablet OD of tranexamic acid 500 mg for 6 months. I take complete treatment but I did not seen effective results but yes little bit benefit done. Please suggest me effect treatment about it.

Hey lybrate-user, the treatment taken by you is absolutely correct. Only additions needed are- sunscreen every 3 hours as sun plays a major role in melasma, add a multivitamin + antioxidant and go for chemical peels for melasma every 15-20 days for 4-6 sessions or more if needed. You will get good results.

After that got my first period in february end which was not stopping so my doctor put me on primolut n and my bleeding stopped but this time when I got my period experiencing very heavy bleeding since nine days though from third day on I am on tranexamic acid and from 5th day I am taking yasmin.
