Hi lybrate-user,
tdap is a vaccine against tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis and some vaccines also protect against polio.
Now a days vaccination in pregnancy provides better protection of mother and newborn against these diseases which are quite prevalent in newborns.
Tt just protects the newborn from neonatal tetanus.
Therefore tdap is better than tt.
It should be taken in 3rd trimester ideally 28-32 weeks.
I can recommend good tdap vaccines if you are interested.

No need to take tt injection if you have already taken the dose 2.5 years back. Next booster dose after 10 years of previous dose. Just take wound care till it heals completely. Hopefully you have got your answer.

Tdap vaccination for adolescents is recommended at age 11–12 years. A 10-year-old who is already up to date on diphtheria/tetanus/pertussis vaccines and gets a tdap vaccine for any reason does not need to receive another tdap at age 11–12 years.
