Dear Parekh,
You are a man, i suppose. You are not going to become pregnant. So there is no genetic mutation or toxicity. Please consult a doctor for treatment of depression. Atenolol will not relieve your depression fully.

It seems you think of bp as paramount determinant of health. Measuring bp is a new phenomenon, never previously done.
It can be helpful if done as advised, but it causes plenty of difficulties if done without following the recommended methods. Correct management requires measuring it once every month or 3 months when resting comfortably and feeling ok. Measuring bp whenever one wishes too is not healthy. Bp fluctuates in everybody every day. It may be 170 when climbing stairs, or only 80 whe...more

Your job is sitting for 10 to 15 hrs, means lots of cups of tea, coffee, snacks. Carry your own ors from home in the form of juice of a lemon in 1 liter water with a pinch of salt and sugar. Mr. Lybrate-user, the medicines being taken are quite safe, hence can be continued for long time. Whether for life time is difficult to answer. Because as one get old, blood glucose control varies. Similarly kidney function may get affected due to diabetes itself.
Periodic assessment is always required. Thanks.

lybrate-user, She seems to have multiple problems. High BP and diabetes tend to affect kidney function. There is no mention of weight, height, PP glucose level, drugs being taken for diabetes and TSH level as well as dose of thyroxine. Longstanding high BP and diabetes tend to affect kidney function. To reduce creatinine protein intake needs to be reduced. Plus BP should be in good control. Thanks.
