Yes better to stop lipikind f. It is a medicine which is almost never required, and should not be given to hypertension patients.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Beta blockers are used quite often to control hypertension and related cardiac problems in patients with diabetes also. They are fairly safe. Some times hypoglycemic episodes may not be easily recognised. Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user,
atenolol is not the treatment for depression. There are effective treatments like antidepressants and therapy. Please consult a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist. Why did you take so much of atenolol? Is it with suicidal intention? If so, there is urgent need to consult a psychiatrist.
You have the normal side effects of atenolol. Your worry of skin necrosis, may be a part of your untreated depression. It is called as nat - negative automatic thought!

Hello, the symptoms (including breathing problem) are suggestive of depressive episode. The side effects of the drug would wear off in 3-4 days. Skin necrosis would not be due any medicine you took last year. It has to be some other cause.
