Hi Dr, I'v been taking telmisartan winthrop tablet 80 mg for the past 2 years. Now the hospital has given me this new one teleact 80 mg. How safe is it. Should I take it or stick to the previous one please.

yes it's safe
one has a diuretic to take away extra fluids
you can do so by taking more of citrus fruits or green tea
reduce salt intake

Telmikind h 40/12.5 contains telmisartan & hydrochlorothiazide. Can it be split in half? Can I take it half daily? I am taking one tablet daily and my bp after taking full bp remains 82 / 110. Can I take 2 separate medicine for telmisartan & htcz together instead of combine telmikind h? Thanks.

You should not change bp tablet or reduce it without consulting your physician. It only 'controls' bp at certain level but does not cure permanently. Don't change bp dosage without consulting your physician.

Tellzy and Telmikind both have the same salt called Telmisartan, so they are same and you can take one in place of the other.

You can take the Telmikind tablet instead of Telmicine as the generic constituent in both is same I.e. Telmisartan. Thank you.

I am 47 years old, using telmikind am since 2 years. I am running out my stock of telmisartan 40 mg+ amlodipine 5 mg as a single tablet. In my current location this combination is not available. Can I use valsartan 50 mg and amlodipine 5 which available as separate pills.

Yes valsartan can be used in the place of telmisartan.
It's available in strengths of 80 mg /160 mg.
I recommend 80 mg to start with.

One of my cousin elder brother suggest me hamdard asraufin which he say it is effective medicine in controlling bp. He ate it and his bp is under control. Please tell me can I use this medicine? Now your bp is controlled with telmisartan and what is he need for another dug. Hamdard asraufin can bring down bp along with other effects on the body and medically is not approved. You may or may not take it at your own decision or risk.

Hello doctor, I am 75 years old and I am hypertension patient. I have been skipped my medicines for last 4 days. Due to this, I feel nausea and dizziness. Due to this, I went to the local doctor in my area and diagnosed myself. Earlier, I had taking telmikind 40 mg for high bp for a long time. But after diagnosed he changed my medicine for telmikind to amlodipine. I am confused, which of the these above medicines should I take? Please advice me.

Amlodepine is good drug for elderly people.
Telmisartan is good for young people. You can take amlodepine for few days than doses can be changed accordingly.
