I am Having enlarged level 2cervical lymph nodes since last 4full months. No pain. Nofever.no fatigue. No weight loss. No any other complaint. Had chickenpox infection 5 months back from today taken treatment. But after that chickenpox this lymph nodes gradually enlarged over a duration of one month to about 2.5 cm palpable lymph nodes which are as such for last 4 months. TUBERCULOUS LN may have showed some symptoms at least subtly like weight loss-which is not in this case. So can it be malignancy? Or it is just no specific (not to worry) cause? I don't want to go for F NAC. Please help reasonably. I am Dr. Too. Thank you!

I am a 41-year-old male and have been diagnosed with high BP since last month when my BP touched 150/110. I was given Telma 40 and a calcium channel blocker LN Bloc 5. Alongside, I was diagnosed for cholesterol and given Turbovas F, a statin-fenofibrate combo drug. However, I found the side-effects quite debilitating as there was swelling in the left ankle and perpetual pain. So I discontinued all the medications withing 26 days. I now take a herbal drug called Arjuna to control my BP. Yet, my diastolic never goes below 90. Also, today, my BP read 140/100. I am worried. What should I do?

you must take medicine, take tab amlopress 10 mg daily in the morning, reduce your salt intake and oily and fried food, 1hr morning walk daily, drink 3-5 litre of water daily, it will help you. thanks

Hi, Had lung Tb with neck LN reactive lymph node hyperplasia at age of 9 years--completed full 6 months AKT. Now at age of 23-i have enlarged neck pevel 2 lymph nodes to size 3 cms-(painless, totally asymptomatic-no fever/nomalaise/no cough/no weight loss/tonight sweats) if I am diagnosed as TB lymph nodes-----will I be considered as category 2 AKT and will I need INJECTABLE streptomycin? Or I will just need oral drugs as it can be ATYPICAL mycobacteria as there is no symptom. Please help. Thank you.

Dear Lybrate user, you have to undergo FNAC of enlarged lymph nodes to confirm the diagnosis.
If TB is proved it would be better to add Injectable drug along with usual ATT.

Treatment for LN TB is for 6 months in most cases. Isoniazid a good anti TB drugs and should have been given.

My wife is suffering from tubacular lymphednitis (confirmed by fnac last year) on the left side of the lymph node of neck. It is in cervical lymph node and is in swollen condition. She took t. B. Medicine and during t. B. Treatment swollen lymph node started coming to the normal shape. But after the 5th month of medicine, lymph node suddenly started increasing its size. In the seventh month we done the ultra sound of that lymph node, which showed there is a pus inside it. I have also gone for the fnac again and it again showed that t. B. Infection is still there. For further clarification and the drug sensitivity, I go for the culture test of myco bacterium of t. B. Of the pus aspirated from swollen lymph node, which further show negative results as no afb came in that. This situation has become very complicated as fnac show t. B. Infection but culture shows no signs of t. B. Infection. I again go for the fnac which again came positive with t. B. Infection and after that I have also gone for the histopathology for the specimen of the lymph node and again the culture of the specimen of the lymph node, its again came negative. Histopathology only showed inflammation and necrotising nothing else. So please suggest something helpful as the situation is very complicated as fnac test is showing t. B. Infection and other test are coming negative.

Some time tough to treat ln tb. Better get remove the ln and necrotic tissue by surgery. Have second opinion of respiratory physician of your area. Was she put on effective att as per weight.

My heart bit is louder, I can feel it like when somebody gives surprise and you feel heart bit louder the same. My pressure is variable during the day. I checked up with physician and also with cardiologist. I gone through all lab test i.e. B12, D3, Thyroid, Cholesterol, TMT, Eco, ECG, Sugar etc. Fortunately all reports are very very normal, There is no danger. Dr. Prescribed blood pressure tablet (Sartel LN) 10 Days before, I am taking it regularly but still I do not understand why heart is bitting louder and due to this I get tired end of the day, overall feeling is not normal, do not like to talk with anyone, irritated feeling, sometime it gives headache too. I play tennis everyday two hours in the morning. My food habit is absolutely fine at home only, normally on time. Kindly please explain me what it is? How I can overcome this problem.

Your symptoms and normal lab results suggest that you may be over-stressed. You should ensure adequate sleep. Avoid too much of computer or smartphone or anything that strains your mind. Do regular Yoga / meditation. Gradually you should get back to normal healthy feeling.

I am 6 month pregnant. In my gtt test my fbs is 76 urine sugar id nil and after talking 100 glucose after half hour blood sugar is 156 andurine sugar is f. Traces. After 1 hour blood sugar is 176 and urine sugar is+. After 2 hours blood sugar is 148 and urine sugar is traces. Ln my hbalc test the result is 5.9. My question is my am diabetic or not. What should be my diet. Jo baby ke health ke liye theek ho. Kya me 3 fruits ek din me le sakti hu. I am very confused. Please guide me for my diet.
