Maintain a blood pressure diary to record your BP of every morning n evening before medication. After reviewing that only we can tell that your medicine is good enough for you or not.
Secondly hypertension at your age is uncommon. You need to see a physician to rule out secondary causes of hypertension like kidney disease n all.

Telma 40 and Telmavas 40 is are technically the same product so you can take II medication also in place of Telma however if you are doctor has prescribed Telma there should have been some reason behind it.

measure BP only once every month on fixed dates after resting for 10 minutes. If it is below 145, better to watch for few months on same dose

No medicine required if bp below 140. Your present tablet contains 2 different bp medicines. Check your bp monthly on fixed dates after resting for 10 minutes. If it is invariably above 140, medicine is required. Ask your Dr. about alternative tablet with single chemical, avoid combination for mild hypertension, required only for severe cases.
