Metocard is a morning medicine. Telmisartan may, therefore be taken after dinner. If you want improvement in lipids and diabetes, and good long term health, I suggest you discuss your diet on phone with me. Best wishes.

What's Kalyani's current Blood Pressure? If it's high she may take like that if she is unable to procure Telma H 80 (Telmesartan 80 mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg)
Taking Telma H 40 (Telmesartan 40 mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg) twice a day would mean she would be taking additional HCTZ 12.5 mg.
To remain at the same doses, it would be preferable to take Telma H 40 in the morning and Telma 40 (not - H) at night.

the above mentioned medicines are same formula but the telma cr is of double dose so half a tablet would be sufficient in case one does not procure in nearby pharmacy as an emergency and not to skip the dose.
but confirmation from the consultant is required.

You should not change bp tablet or reduce it without consulting your physician. It only 'controls' bp at certain level but does not cure permanently. Don't change bp dosage without consulting your physician.

It would be better if you go back to the doctor as it is a good practice to followup with your family doctor ( where you are regularly checked - clinical examination is vital ). Over all, take charge of your complete health ( mind and body ) by adapting health lifestyle and yoga. You can also revert ...more
