IN typhoid, antibiotics are to be taken for longer durations like 10 - 14 days. Hence, continue with the same antibiotic for another week to 10 days.

You should first take urine routine micro and urine culture sensitivity testing. Once you get culture report in 48 hours, antibiotics according to sensitivity needs to be started. If you have already taken cefotaxim injection then no need to do culture now as it will give false result. Also cefotaxim is considered safe in pregnancy. Hello, Taxim OZ is antibiotic and is safe, bifilac is lactobacillus and is safe. Racecadotril is antisecretory and has mainly intestinal action. But since it has not been studied adequately and passage into breastmilk is not known, it is not recommended to be taken in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
