The only symptoms I have now is occasional mild fever, frequent mild headaches and some weightless (about 5 kg) no abdominal pains, no yellowing of eyes or skin ive been diagnosed with chronic hbv since 2015 and i'm 33 years old. My last checked viral load is august 2022 - 78 iu/ml april 2023 - 1700 iu/ml. My gp recommended treatment for me as he assumed there was active replication of virus. So I have been taking tenofovir disoproxil fumarate tablets ip 300 mg daily for almost 6 weeks now. I recently consulted a specialist who asked for some more tests including an abdominal ct scan, head ct scan and a fibroscan. And tests revealed I have moderate fatty liver but no scaring or fibrosis. Liver function and size remains normal. All other organs appear normal. Specialist mentioned that I shouldn't have started tenofovir treatment as my liver alt levels and viral load indicate no need for treatment. My question now is do I continue taking the antiviral tenofovir df (as it can have long term side effects) or I can stop and use ayurvedic medication like liv 52hb to control viral replication. I still experience the symptoms but weight loss has slowed down. Also can my liver condition (hbv /fatty liver) be a cause of the symptoms I am getting? Thank you for this platform.
