First change diet i.e. Take plenty of fluids, green leafy vegetables, fruits AND avoid spicy, masala and fried food stuff. About medications you are already taking medicines. With these medicines you can go for sitz bath twice daily. Apply ointment after sitz bath.

I cannot see any real need for the cream in a 6 year old and sucral ano cream is used to treat chronic anal fissures. This cream is known for providing quick and systematic relief from this condition. While patients can start feeling the numbing sensation of this cream almost immediately, it can take anywhere between 2 days to a week for rash or other visible symptoms of the problem to disappear.

For anal fissure use cremagel. Because it contains nifedepine which relaxes the anus for easier passage of stool. Sucral ano is for piles.

There are other medications like lactulose, movicol etc which should be ideally used in children to relieve constipation. Sucral ano is used for treatment of anal fissures, fistula, haemorrhoids.

Whatever medicines your taking for GERD/ acidity, none of it will work in GERD. Sucral is for peptic ulcers. And to be taken before meals, not after meals. U can use lactifiber in place for softovac and that too at night time.

Hello lybrate-user, if your diagnosis of anal fissure is confirmed and correct, then apply an ointment which contains nifdepin or diltiazem like escot or fidonal., with your finger, before and after passing stool. I thick your ointment (sucral ano) is not helpful for fissure. Also,to sit in warm steer (sitz bath) and taking plenty of water is helpful.

Hello sir, I am Dr. consultant general and laparoscopic surgeon in chennai fortis hospital vadapalani. If I am not wrong, the surgery you underwent is lateral internal sphincterotomy for your fissure which is standard universally. But the surgery itself is not enough to cure you. The main cause of anal fissure is constipation. So if you are still constipated, then the healing will still be delayed. And medicines is only temporary. You should drink minimum of 3-4 litres of water per day and add h...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
Yes a person with hypothyroidism can use sucral syrup, however, ti should be used at least 2 to 3 hours after taking the thyroxine tablet as it can affect the absorption of levothyroxine. Thanks.
