I am 49 years old male I hv dizziness since 8 months no bp n no sugar I keep low bp rather showed to ent, neurologist n they gave medication like vertin, meclizine n cinnarizine but not helping at all. A general physician md prescribed me niacin nf (inositol nicotinate) I am not understanding why such medicine is prescribed?

Dear madam greetings. From my childhood I had pus in both the ears which used to come and go. Now my age is 60. And the doctor in hyderabad prescribed me 2 different bottle of drops which controlled the leaking completely but as I have vertigo I am taking 1 stugeron 25 mg tablet in the night time past 1 month. Still sometimes I have very little dizziness. Madam, will you suggest me any other tablet or should I continue this stugeron 25 mg .if so for how many days can I take without any side effects. Is there any connection for getting dizziness if one sees mobile for a long time. Madam,awaiting your valuable advise.

My wife aged 33 have two children she some suffers from intense vertigo and it lasts for two to three days sometimes with vomiting doctors has advised for mri and also referred to ent and for thyroid check but all the reports are normal and her problem is still exists. She takes now takes vertin 16mg with stugeron forte it gives her relieve but for the time being and again after three four months this happens again she also do the exercise of cervical pain. Please suggest.

Is there any complaint of hearing loss or ringing sound(tinnitus) in the ear? this could be either due to bppv (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) or meniere' s disease(increased pressure in the ear leading to vertigo, hearing loss and tinnitus with or without vomiting). Bppv can be diagnosed and treated by simple manouvre while meniere' s disease requires proper evaluation and treatment.

Along with these medications u possibly might b aware of some neck care exercises n precautions...as these are due to cervical spondylosis..(due to Ur bad posture)...so u can change Ur Revital to Neurotrat LM once a day..with cervical pillow n exercises ..rest same okk.

Will you please suggest whether it is advisable to take three times a day or not? Vertigo and migrane often cause pain in upper jaw which is very much similar to tooth aches, it's called referd type of pain. If the migrane or vertigo is treated promptly definetely you will be relived of your pain. Regarding dosage your physician is the right person to decide the dose as per your clinical conditions. Sir my father is non diabetic, non hypertension, & post lumbar laminectomy, & cervical laminectomy, both lumbar & cervical fusion done. He had left ear some ringing sound since from 5 years. Now he is getting giddiness & profuse sweeting. We have consult to ent doctor, diagnosed as meniere disease? Not confirmed. They adived tab vertin 16 mg bd, tab stugeron bd. But now also he complaints of giddiness. please help me.

Giddiness may be due cervical prblm or can be due to the ringing of ear. Go for tablet stugeron plus twice a day for 5-7 days. You need to approach ent specialist for proper examination of ear and hearing assessment test.

Hi doctor, I am suffering from anxiety depression since 3 june. I took vertigon 16 thrice a day after doc prescribed in dubai due to vertigo along with it, neurobion vitamin tablets for 2 days and suddenly evening felt like my brain is becoming violent and everything negy started in my mind even for my husband, my legs feet became cold, getting anger, irritation, felt like killing myself, I suddenly moved to india, and consulted ent specialist as I found some inner ear issues, also vitamin d 12 level, then got medicines, d3 and rebagen otic allegra m for 21 days, but my irritation problem anxiety did not reduce, it was still same consulted a psychiatrist online, he suggested nexito plus which I am taking in night since 9 days, little improvement is there, but in morning again feels irritation sometimes, negative thought, he then asked to take placida, I am not sure if I can take this much medicines all together. I need to go to dubai back next week and join job, kindly suggest me how to deal with it.

Health Query

I am having ringing in my left ear and balance problems from past one month, feeling tilted towards one side while sitting and feeling as if I might fall during walking. I had a checkup with ENT professor, when I asked could it be due to 'Meniere' he said its not Meniere. He prescribed me Cinnarizine 75 mg and Betahistine 48 mg for 15 days and said if the symptoms don't go away after 15 days, see a Neurologist. Can someone tell me whats the real problem. I don't think its some Neurological problem like a stroke or multiple sclerosis because I don't have another symptoms other than Tinnitus and balance problem. Also I am taking 50 microgram Thyroxine sodium for my hypothyroid ailment from past 7 months. Thanks.

Menier's disease is not that common at this age.
Whether you have any neurological issue or not that can be known by proper test like CT scan etc.
So better take tests.
