There are lots of side effects of statins but if prescribed to you your doctor must have condered about them.
Life style modification (like diet control, regular exercise, weight reduction and maintaining etc) is more important to control it.

Hi
she seems to be underweight. Does she lost weight with in few months or she was like that?
Her treatment needs to be modified for better control of blood sugar.
Also get check her bp and lft, kft, lipid profile, thyroid profile and ecg.
Do some relaxation exercises with her, listen to her and spend some good quality time and try to figure it out? Why she is worrisome ghabrahat?
Avoid egg and non veg
take plenty of natural food like vegetable and salads
take care.

Statin use does not cause rise in sugar. this is because of worsening of diabetes over years due to beta cell exhaustion. it also can be partly from increase in your carbohydrate intake in your diet.
