The only treatment for a snake bite in today's scenario is anti snake venom in a hospital or a primary health care center near you. Please do not try to bleed the patient or give any alcoholic drink to the patient or tie a tourniquet.
Reassure the patient that they will be fine. Many of the deaths due to snake bites are a product of fear. Reassurance and rushing to the nearest hospital is the solution.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. Diabetes can not be cured. To treat it you have to take modern medicines plus restricted diet and also have to regular exercise. The medicine mentioned by you is unlikely to help even in controling the blood glucose. Thanks.

The only definitive treatment is to get the patient to the nearest emergency for asv which which is available. Do not give the patient any alcohol but reassure the patient that they will be fine. Try to identify the snake or kill it and take it along so after identification of the snake, proper treatment can be given regarding the action of the toxin. Do not tie a tourniquet as it will restrict blood flow and immobilize the limb or which ever bitten part. Reassurance always works as the patient ...more

The bite wound should be gently but properly washed with soap water after that tie a tourniquet proximal to the bite site this will slow down spread of venom. most of the instant deaths after snake bite are due to shock instead of venom
