Dear lybrate-user
When benefit outweigh the risk medicines are given to the children under 1 year age and your doctor had done his job best by helping you with the medication. Please don’t have any doubt in continuing the medication. And also please don’t use medication on your own or on any online suggestions because you are trying to treat a small baby. Take the baby to near by pediatrician whenever the baby falls sick. Get well soon.

Yes with growth it get corrected but will require surgery at a certain age if not improved. Your urologist is the right person to decide the age. Invariably it take place once growth is complete. Till then you have to train you child for pee training. Not to let him accumulate too much urine in bladder so that it back fires. Right now home care and make your child pee every 1 hr irrespective of amount of urine comes out. It will help reduce pressure on bladder and won't let urine go back to kidn...more

I've been diagnosed with uti after having bad fever (multiple fever cycles a day despite taking acetaminophen) and some vomiting for 3 days even though the typical symptoms (burning, frequent urination, constant need to pee) while urinating subsided (and started after sex) even before the fever started. Urine analysis was positive in bacteria (no specific), nitrites, blood, leucocites and protein. The doctor who I consulted beforehand then prescribed me ciprofloxacin as treatment. By chance I got to speak to another doctor who prescribed me cefalexin. I investigated both and came to a conclusion that ciprofloxacin carries adverse effects which risk I don't feel comfortable taking (especially neuropathy). I don't like to take antibiotics in general, which makes me even more weary about side effects they have. Why one or the other antibiotic and how will the treatment differ? Am I overly paranoid about potential risks? I like to understand why doctors decide for a specific medicine but have not had the luxury of being given any explanation. Hoping that maybe this community gives me some answers. Thank you in advance.

one reason for not healing is tab omnacortil 40 which you are taking, secondly this may be due to nerve insensitive if there is no pain, or may be due to venous origin if venous engorgement is there with pigmentation around, so consult your doctor for can you stop omnacortil, get examined for venous type, by the use compression bandage and leg elevation.
