Dytor plus contains spironolactone which if taken with few blood pressure tablets like ace inhibitors (ramipril, lisinopril) or arb (telmisartan, olmesartan), serum potassium may increase.
So let me know more details about your medications.
For further information and advise you may book an online consultation with me on Lybrate. Thank you. Take care.

Hi, lybrate user,
DYTOR10 is used for oedema due to water logging in the body owing to heart disorder and TENSUNOL is administered for enlarged prostate, so both the medicines are for two different purposes.
Dytor 10 should be readminstered on consultation of an expert.
Tk, care.

Dytor has been used to control ascites and may have been absolutely necessary given the liver dysfunction. It should not be stopped unless suggested by the prescribing doctor.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Dytor is a diuretic given specifically when the there is edema due to known causes such as hypertension or any kidney related issue. In your case no reason is known. So I can not say that you should take that drug. Please get your thyroid function test done, because hypothyroidism also causes fair amount of edema. Thanks.

Dytor plus is a combination of two diuretics and cardivas is a beta blocker. If accidentally taken at night it may cause increased frequency of urination at night, low bp and reduced heart rate. You will have to watch for dizziness. These drugs have a short action period and if all is well till morning, then she should be fine. If any complications at night, call an ambulance.

Dear preeti, selling in only one leg in someone with hypothyroidism could be due to filariasis varicose veins or venous thrombosis or rarely pretiabial myxedema. Dytor will reduce the swelling but it can cause electrolyte disturbances. If you do a dopper study of the leg veins you can find out if there is venous thrombosis or varicose veins. Treatment will depend upon the diagnosis regards
